Which beauty box?

I wouldn't say this is a post about beauty boxes as I'm sure most of you know how the little gems work, but its more a post about which one i intend to continue subscribing to....

Birch box or Glossy box? Glossy box or Birch box? Glossy or Birch, Birch or Glosy??!! Ahhhh!!

I don't need to receive two a month. I need to cut back on the pennies. One of these treats has to go! But which one??

I like them both but for different reasons. Glossy box's packaging is very pretty. Especially Aprils box; designed by Pearl Lowe herself. The contents are more high street/drug store brands that I have mostly heard of before. That does mean you may get products you have tried and tested and dislike already? That said though, you are still discovering new products and after all, even though you've heard of them, doesn't mean you're going to always buy them. Competition is fierce out there!

What I like about the Birch Box is it always contains products that I've mostly never heard of. They're slightly more luxurious, and a little more exciting! Another plus is you also get a lovely A5 magazine which mentions products in your box, other delightful things that they recommend and insightful interviews with people in the beauty/make up field.

Hmmmm.... Decisions??

I've picked out my fav products from Aprils Birch and Glossy box which I loved.

First I received my Glossy box, the Pearl Lowe edition. The box is so so sweet. It has a pink, vintage floral print all over. Ill definitely be using it for storage.
My favourite item was the gorgeous (generous sized) Nip and Fab, Pistachio Sundae, dry skin fix body butter; and wow!! I wish you could smell your screen, it is delicious!! It's thick and creamy and absorbs into dry patches well. It did leave my skin feeling a little sticky/rich, but the smell makes up for that (The smell also lingers on the skin for a while after). Easy to apply to your legs and torso for some instant, buttery yumminess!

I was a little more excited to receive my Birch Box last month (extra points for Birch I feel).
A couple of things stood out in Aprils box.
Firstly, Weleda, skin food. Apparently Victoria Beckham loves the stuff! And I can see why. This cream is super hydrating, leaves dry skin smooth and flake free and it gave me a very heathy glow before bed (which id imagine is a good time to use it. I wouldn't like to use it on the skin before make up; far too thick for that!) It's very versatile too, you can use it all over, on any dry area. Full size price isn't too steep either. It'll cost your purse £8.95.
Another gooden was Mirenesse, glossy kiss pencil stick. This particular colour wasn't quite my cup of tea (coral/red with gold specs) but it applied so easily and the texture had a lovely creamy feeling and it wasn't too glossy like a lip gloss. I'd like to see what other colours they have on their colour wheel.

So, the votes (in my head) are in and I have decided the box I'm going to keep is.....

BIRCH BOX!!! : )

Enjoy all of the beauty boxes out there, and let me know your favourites please : )
